Pastel Winter

Joe Fresh blouse, Oak and Fort leggings, ASOS faux-fur scarf, Stuart Weitzman shoes, Kate Spade clutch, Tiffany & Co bracelet

We've been pretty lucky over here on the west coast this winter. The weather has been beautiful - barely any rain and lots of bright, spring-like days. This means I've been wearing a lot of pastel coloured Joe Fresh silk blouses with light layers lately. Their tops are so affordable and perfect for both work and play. This simple blouse and leggings look wouldn't be complete without some fun accessories. The Kate Spade glitter clutch and Tiffany & Co bow bracelet were from dear friends of mine for Christmas.  I love them both and will treasure these for years to come.  Classic, wearable gifts are always a good idea!

New Year New Look

Zara dress and coat, Michael Kors bag, Jessica Simpson boots, J.Crew necklace, Marc Jacobs watch

Happy 2014! I hope your new year is off to a great start. It's been a busy couple of weeks for us, which is why I'm just getting the chance to post this outfit now. Both the silk dress and the tweed and leather coat were recent sale finds from Zara. I thought, what better way to kick off the new year than to wear a bold red dress and a multi-textured coat? Not only is this classic with a twist look great for work, it's also perfect for a dinner date.  This look also expresses a tougher, bolder side of me and reflects how determined I am in working to make this the best year yet both professionally and personally.  I hope to share some exciting news about LOVECOCO and other ideas in the making soon!

A holiday home tour

I have always had a love for home decor and decorating for the holidays is my favourite! I'm happy to share these photos of my living room now that our gallery wall is up and the Christmas tree is decorated. I love nothing more than being home for the holidays with my family and friends, enjoying all this season has to offer. I wish you all a great Christmas and a happy new year! I'm grateful for everyone who reads this blog and want to thank you for all of your love and support in 2013.

 Cheers to a wonderful 2014!

A Great Gatsby Holiday Party

The twenties made a huge comeback this year from the mesmerizing movie on the big screen to inspiring everything from fashion to home decor. We got into the spirit last weekend by celebrating the holidays with our closest friends at our gatsby-themed party. I have a love for anything art deco so it was a blast to plan and decorate for the party. I found that some simple decor with black, white, and gold as the main colours can instantly transform the place to the era of lavishness and decadence. Whether it's for New Years Eve, a birthday, or a stagette, a great gatsby inspired party is always a good idea! A little party never killed nobody, right?

Jay Gatsby would be happy to know that we had a champagne tower, plenty of hors d'oeuvre, beautifully decorated custom cookies by The Whisk, a huge fancy frill ballon by Confetti & Co, and a fun photobooth from Legendary Photobooth Vancouver!

Here are the Great Gatsby Party Essentials:
- A 20's Dress Code (Beaded, sequins, feathers, fur, headpieces, you get the idea!)
- Champagne (lots of it)
- Hors d'oeuvre (Deviled eggs, stuffed mushrooms etc)
- Lights (Twinkle lights or candles)
- Balloons (check out Confetti & Co)
- Art Deco dessert (check out The Whisk)
- Photobooth (check out Legendary Photobooth)

Happy Party Planning ;)

Wishing you all a Happy New Year! Cheers!
